Zachary Levi unfazed by Razzie nomination

Zachary Levi was nominated for Worst Actor for the children’s film Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Zachary Levi has shrugged off his recent Razzie nomination.

The organisers of the Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, unveiled their nominations for the worst films and performances released in 2024 on Tuesday.

Levi found himself on the shortlist for Worst Actor for the children’s film Harold and the Purple Crayon. He was nominated alongside Jack Black (Dear Santa), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker: Folie à Deux), Dennis Quaid (Reagan) and Jerry Seinfeld (Unfrosted).

After a fan called his nomination “disappointing” on X, the Shazam! actor made it clear he wasn’t fazed by the dishonour.

“Eh. Some great actors have been nominated for Razzies. I’ll take it as a front-handed compliment,” he replied, adding smirking face and nail polish emojis.

Levi courted controversy late last year when he endorsed Donald Trump, however, he has insisted that aligning himself with the new U.S. President has not affected his Hollywood career.

“I mean, listen, I have yet to see what the ultimate effects of all that are gonna be. I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot, and none of those have been compromised,” he said on Club Random with Bill Maher podcast in December.

“None of my producers or any of the studios behind those films or projects have called and said, ‘Hey listen this is a line too far, and we can’t have you associated with the project anymore.’ We’re all still full steam ahead on those.”

The ill-fated Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, leads this year’s Razzie nominees with seven, closely followed by Borderlands, Megalopolis, Madame Web and Reagan with six.

The ‘winners’ will be announced on 1 March.
