Stephen Graham confirms Peaky Blinders movie role

The actor revealed his next project will see him reunited with Cillian Murphy.

Stephen Graham has confirmed he will appear in the Peaky Blinders movie.

The Blitz star was attending the London Film Festival on Wednesday evening when he revealed his next project will see him reprise his role as Hayden Stagg for the movie adaptation of the hit TV drama series. Graham also expressed his excitement at being reunited with Peaky Blinders co-stars including leading man Cillian Murphy.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the lads again,” he told Deadline.

Graham joined the cast as Stagg, a docker and union man, for the sixth and final season of Steven Knight’s BBC series.

Despite his brief appearance on the show, Graham’s performance impressed fans with many calling it one of the standout moments from the season.

Knight recently hailed the “mind-blowing cast” attached to the film, with Graham joining big names including Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan.

Earlier this year Netflix gave the greenlight for a Peaky Blinders movie, which is being made in association with BBC Film.

Filming began in September, with the latest instalment set during the Second World War.

Graham is enjoying a busy time of late. After shooting his role in Peaky Blinders, he will portray Bruce Springsteen’s father in the biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.
