Rebel Wilson claims Pitch Perfect 4 script is ‘in development’

Rebel Wilson shared her ideas for future storylines.

Rebel Wilson believes a script is “in development” for a fourth Pitch Perfect movie.

The Australian actress, who plays Fat Amy in the musical franchise, teased a further instalment during An Evening with Rebel Wilson in London on Monday night.

“I would love to do a Pitch Perfect 4 and I believe there is a script in development for it,” she said, reports Mail Online.

Sharing ideas for possible storylines, she continued, “I think someone should get married, maybe me and (Adam DeVine’s character) Bumper.”

Wilson made her debut as Fat Amy in 2012’s Pitch Perfect, which also starred Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp and Brittany Snow, and reprised the role for the sequel in 2015 and threequel in 2017.

She added that she and her co-stars have discussed reuniting for a fourth outing.

“Me and all the girls talk about it all the time,” she shared, before joking, “We’re busy but they can pay us to come together!”

During a Q&A segment later in the event, the Bridesmaids actress stated that a Pitch Perfect stage musical has “got to be on the cards”.

“Well, the director of Pitch Perfect, Jason Moore, is a big Broadway director so it could happen. But the thing is because we always sung in 10-part harmony and it was really hard to do live so it might be too hard to do,” she noted.

Wilson then quipped, “Also there wouldn’t be anyone as good as me to play fat Amy!”

She took part in the event to promote her memoir Rebel Rising.
